As a photographer, I’ve always felt comfortable composing frames that I find pleasing. However, it takes a little more work in composing frames for moving images than it does for photography. During my work with the theatre company, I learnt a lot about storytelling, direction and lighting scenes. There’s a difference between lighting scenes on stage and on screen, but the basic concept of finding stories even through lighting drove me to work on this skill a lot more than I had imagined.
